Scott knew he should become a lawyer after he enjoyed reading and analyzing thirteen insurance policies. Not wanting to wait for graduation to begin working, Scott first joined SAFM as a clerk during his second year of law school. After passing the Utah Bar, Scott officially joined SAFM’s litigation and transaction practices.
Scott enjoys helping individuals and families properly plan for their future through developing personal estate plans, whether their estates are large or small. He also enjoys both transactional and litigation business and contract matters – whether helping a client establish the framework by which their transaction will be governed, defending a client from a claimed breach, or helping a client enforce a contract. Scott’s practice centers primarily on:

- Business and commercial litigation
Scott attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he graduated with honors. During law school, he served as an Executive Editor of on the BYU Law Review. Prior to law school, Scott graduated from the Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Philosophy.
Scott grew up in California but considers himself a successful Utah transplant as he has called Utah his home for more than 10 years now. He enjoys spending his time with his wife and family, as well as being active in a wide range of activities from rock climbing to excel spreadsheeting.
